Touratech made the adventure rider scene sit up and take notice with the launch of the Aventuro Carbon in 2014. Designed as a modular helmet, the Aventuro Carbon covered the entire spectrum from pure off-road use to use on sporty road trips without having to compromise in the respective areas. The conversion could be carried out in a few simple steps without tools. Further advantages of the concept were the high-strength helmet shell made of carbon fibre laminate, the low weight and the countless practical detail solutions. These features made the Aventuro Carbon an instant favourite among demanding adventure riders, a position that was successfully defended by its successor, the Aventuro Carbon2. This great tradition is an obligation. That is why one of the key challenges in the development of the new Touratech Aventuro PRO Carbon was to take the proven basic concept of the two predecessor models to a new level based on the very latest technologies.

HIGH STRENGTH HELMET SHELL MADE FROM X-PRO CARBON

The brand-new X-PRO carbon technology realises an unrivalled ratio of solidity to weight. In this process, 3K carbon (3,000 fibres per bundle) is formed into a high-strength composite structure. The high fibre content (≥ 60 percent) maximises the mechanical properties of the helmet shell, while the precise fibre distribution ensures uniform strength in all dimensions and an elegant appearance. Despite its greater rigidity and solidity, the X-PRO Carbon helmet shell is around 10 per cent lighter than conventional designs. Three different sized helmet shells also ensure the optimum ratio of shell and shock-absorbing EPS dome at all times.

TWO-PART VENTILATION IN THE CHIN AREA

The completely new ventilation system in the chin area has a lower slider that can be used to regulate the air flow for the rider, while the upper tilting mechanism controls a separate air flow for ventilating the visor. This innovative solution makes it possible for the first time to optimise ventilation of the visor even in cool temperatures without compromising on comfort.

MID AIRFLOW CHAMBER SYSTEM AND ANTI-VIBRATION-EPS-SYSTEM

The newly developed Mid Airflow Chamber System creates a cavity between the inner and outer EPS dome. This allows fresh air to circulate quickly around the head, while warm air can escape efficiently through the rear openings. The helmet also features an innovative anti-vibration EPS system. A rubber strip between the EPS layers enables fine movements of the inner EPS, which reduces vibrations effectively.

PROVEN BASIC CONCEPT AND LATEST TECHNOLOGIES

Just like his two predecessors, the basic principle of the Aventuro PRO Carbon is as simple as it is convincing. The PRO combines three helmets in one. Without the need to use tools, it can be converted from a cross helmet into a hybrid helmet or a proper road helmet. Depending on application. In each of those disciplines, the Aventuro PRO Carbon proves to be a master of its trade. As an airy cross helmet, the Aventuro PRO Carbon impresses with the low weight of its high-strength X-PRO carbon shell. Because of that, the helmet is easy on the wearer's neck muscles, even during sporty off-road riding. In its hybrid helmet configuration, the helmet comes with a visor. This means that adventure riders benefit from optimum protection from the weather on long, fast-ridden connecting stages. The ventilation system has been further optimised to ensure a perfect climate in the helmet even on hot days.

To be able to use the Aventuro PRO Carbon as a sporty road helmet, the helmet shield can be removed in a few simple steps. This is now even easier, as the visor and shield have separate, robust and durable fastenings. The aerodynamics are also impressive at high speeds.

PATENTED EMERGENCY UNLOCKING SYSTEM FOR INNER PADDING

There are two controls at the bottom of the back of the helmet that can be used to unlock the cheek and neck padding so that they can simply be pulled downwards. This allows the helmet to be removed from the wearer's head without resistance.

CERTIFIED ACCORDING TO THE LATEST ECE22.06 STANDARD

The Aventuro PRO Carbon not only fulfils the strict American DOT standard, but is also certified according to the current European ECE22.06 standard. The test procedures for both the helmet shell and the visor have been significantly tightened compared to the previous ECE22.05 standard, and additional scenarios have been included in the test procedure.

The air flows into the helmet through the adjustable and closable ventilation openings, flows through the EPS dome and exits at the rear.

HIGHEST COMFORT

Regardless of the field of application, the Aventuro PRO Carbon impresses with its low weight, innovative ventilation and comfortable interior. The inner padding and the three-dimensionally moulded cheek pads are made from skin-friendly and temperature-regulating Coolmax. They can be easily removed for washing and replaced if necessary. The "Ergo Padding System" uses several foam padding strips to optimally adapt the helmet to the wearer's individual head shape.
