Alpes Aventure Motofestival – Barcelonette (FR)
If you had to invent a perfect location for a motorbike tour meeting, Barcelonnette would probably be the result. Surrounded by legendary Alpine passes such as the Col de Larche, the Col de la Bonnette or the Col de Restefond and countless other Alpine highlights, the tranquil little town nestles in a valley. And in the centre is a cosy park where the Alpes Aventure Motofestival takes place every year. This will also be the case from 6 to 8 September 2024, with Touratech taking part for the third time. “This festival has a unique private atmosphere,” says Touratech Product Manager Margaux Nycz, who, as a native Frenchwoman, particularly appreciates this event. “We meet an extremely interested audience here and can have very intensive discussions with the motorbike travellers,” Margaux continues.
Family atmosphere in the park: The Alpes Aventure Motofestival focusses on personal interaction.
In addition to the exhibitors' offers on the festival site, it is of course the rides in the surrounding area that make the event so attractive. You can ride either organised or on your own, with your own motorbike or with a demonstrator from the motorbike brands represented. Free film screenings whet the appetite for motorbike adventures, valuable know-how can be acquired in workshops and you can improve your own riding skills during off-road riding training sessions. The “secret lunches” are a special highlight. These excursions with a local guide not only lead into the least known routes of the Ubaye region - at the end of the ride, a gourmet menu with regional specialities also awaits as a culinary finale.

Adventure Bike Rider Festival – Ragley Hall Estate (UK)
At the Adventure Bike Rider Festival, the concept is clear from the name. Here, everything revolves around being on the road with touring enduro bikes, and of course there is plenty of partying. In addition to the countless information and trial offers, the lectures and music performances, workshops and training sessions, it's all about free riding. The organisers have taken this fact into account with an off-road track that stretches 40 kilometres around the Ragley Hall Estate.
Celebrities from the adventure and travel scene were also well represented at the Adventure Bike Rider Festival 2024. Among others, Nick Sanders, Chris Birch, Simon and Lisa Thomas, Sam Manicom and Adam Riemann enjoyed the unique atmosphere in the park and the exchanges with the travellers.
The Rolling Trade Fair by Touratech was also on site again with an interesting range of information to mingle with the celebrating scene. Of course, the trade fair team once again had the most exciting new products on show. A particular eye-catcher this time was the BMW R 1300 GS, which long-distance travelling legend Charley Boorman had steered over the jungle slopes of the Southeast Asian country during the filming of the Touratech movie “Thailand Unleashed”.
Tickets for the next ABR Festival from 27 to 29 June 2025 are already on sale.
